Field Coordinator Training
FCs are responsible for overseeing the flow of ensembles from entry to exit of the stadium and cueing the announcements before each performance. FCs are also responsible for overseeing the on-field awards portion of the event in coordination with the event host. FCs serve as the default point of contact for day-of issues.
FCs should be able to:
- Stand and walk for extended periods of time (4+ hours)
- Communicate clearly and professionally
- Display outwardly-friendly demeanor
- Follow procedure to ensure consistency of experience for students
Course Objectives
In this course you will learn how to:
- Ensure the event site is prepared for the event
- Move performing ensembles on and off the field in a timely fashion
- Manage the awards ceremony
