Gate Coordinator Training
GCs are responsible for greeting each ensemble as they arrive at the field and providing updates to the directors prior to performing. GCs are also responsible for facilitating the pre-staging of the ensemble before they enter the field to perform as well as the post-event Meet and Greet with adjudicators and directors.
GCs should be able to:
- Stand and walk for extended periods of time (4+ hours)
- Communicate clearly and professionally
- Display outwardly-friendly demeanor
- Follow procedure to ensure consistency of experience for students
In this course, you will learn how to:
- meet and provide customer service to directors and their performing ensembles
- pre-stage ensembles
- manage the post-event Meet-and-Greet
